Genoveva Fuentes Cuellar is the founder of El Taller Fuentes. She is a graphic designer, illustrator, and production specialist. In 2015, she graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice with a minor in Graphic Design and in 2016 with a Master of Defense and Strategic Studies from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

Due to the love of design and illustration, Genoveva decided to pursue this career path! It took her a couple of years and a couple of tries to find her distinct art style, using vibrant mixture of bright colors and influence of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) imagery. Now her art style had attracted clients around El Paso and the United States.

Genoveva had works exhibited at several exhibitions and earned several awards and recognition, such as:

How El Taller Started

Late hours in the garage while finishing off design projects, learning how to do printing jobs, mock ups, screen printing, and much more is where El Taller first started. El Taller Fuentes was founded back in 2015 by sisters Genoveva and Fatima Fuentes. For years, the garage turned into a small studio, working up by attending markets and conventions, pop ups and city events all over the city of El Paso. And throughout the years, the hustle paid off by opening our physical shop near-Downtown El Paso.

Daughters of Immigrants

We are daughters of Mexican Immigrants, and raised en la Frontera of El Paso and our neighbors and sister-city of Cd. Juarez. Growing up in a family of hard workers, hustle, and a mix of Mexican and American heritage, El Taller is our bridge of honoring the struggles, the traditions, and the beauty between our two worlds through our art and designs.
